Heidi was born in Vancouver where she earned an Artists Diploma in Opera Performance from the Vancouver Academy of Music and a Bachelor of Arts in Vocal Performance from Trinity Western University. 

As part of her studies she participated in masterclasses given by Stuart Hamilton, David Shefsiek and Ben Heppner.

She made her debut as Donna Elvira in the Vancouver Academy Summer Opera’s 2007 production of Mozart’s Don Giovanni. 

Since then she has gone on to sing roles with Burnaby Lyric Opera, Opera Pro Cantanti, Opera Appassionata in Canada and the Lyric Opera Studio Weimar in Germany. 

In 2008 Ms. Peters was invited to Italy to sing as a member of Centro Studi Lirica during the Voce nel Montefeltro Festival, where she worked with Ms. Patenaude-Yarnell and Maestro Ubaldo Fabbri. 

In the summer of 2009, she returned to Europe to sing Contessa in Lyric Opera Studio Weimar's production of The Marriage of Figaro.

During her studies she was also busy with Oratorio and Song Literature. She has sung in professional choirs and was featured several times as a soloist for the Trinity Western University and Columbia Bible College choirs.

Since her move to Germany in 2009, Ms. Peters has worked with Theaters in Magdeburg, Radebeul, Meiningen, and Coburg among others. She currently lives in Meiningen, Germany and has been a guest at the Südthüringisches Staatstheater since the 2010/2011 Season and made her Solo Debut there as Papagena and First Lady in December 2012. In January 2013 she sang Barbarina in Meiningens production of Mozart’s Le nozze di Figaro, and made her Debut as Bronislawa in The Beggar Student by Carl Millöcker in May.

September 2015 marks her solo Debut as Clotilde in Bellini’s Norma at the Landestheather in Coburg. Then came 2. Hexe in Dido and Aeneas, Owl/Hen in The Cunning Little Vixen, and Marianne Leitmetzerin in The Rosenkavalier.

She is currently studying with KS Prof. Roland Schubert in Leipzig.
